The objective of Dual-Track Agile is to validate product ideas in the fastest and cheapest way possible. The idea of conducting discovery work in conjuction to delivery work is to ensure that the product backlog has been validated through prototypes and other tools before significant development time and costs are spent. Dual-Track Agile is meant to be collaborative in nature, with the output being validating, or de-risking, backlog ideas as opposed to passing down artifacts to other team members.
